Additional mandatory provisions:

  1. In case of a dispute concerning the compliance of delivered biomass with the fraction size requirements, the fraction distribution test shall be performed by means of sieves according to the requirements of EN ISO 17827-1. The main fraction quantity shall be determined based on the biomass quantity that goes through the 63mm sieve. The small particles fraction quantity shall be determined based on the biomass quantity that goes through the 3.15 mm sieve.

  2. For products WC1 and WC2, the bark and sawdust naturally produced during production shall only be allowed (no additional bark or sawdust may be added to biomass).

  3. For products WC3 and WC4, additional bark and/or sawdust may be added to biomass, but the satisfaction of the set quality parameters (including the main fraction and small particles quantities) must be ensured in all cases.

  4. In case of disputes as to whether the leaves and/or needles present in the delivered biomass are dry or not, the dispute shall be settled by analyzing chlorine content at a laboratory.

  5. The 10 (ten) litre sample may consist of 2 pieces of wood chips with the length greater than the maximum allowable length, provided that the area of the cross-section of such a particle is smaller than 0.5 cm2.

  6. Chemically treated wood may not be used as a raw material for any one product. Chemically treated wood shall, inter alia, include, dyed, lacquered, glued, impregnated wood and/or wood that has undergone any other chemical treatment.

  7. For contracts according to the non-standard trade condition “Small fraction”, the following fraction size requirements shall apply:

    1. Main fraction, mm: 3.15 ≤ P ≤ 16;

    2. Large fraction, mm: P > 31.5;

    3. Maximum allowable length, mm: 90;

    4. In case of a dispute concerning the compliance of delivered biomass with the fraction size requirements, the fraction distribution test shall be performed by means of sieves according to the requirements of EN ISO 17827-1. The main fraction quantity shall be determined based on the biomass quantity that goes through the 31.5 mm sieves. The small particles fraction quantity shall be determined based on the biomass quantity that goes through the 3.15 mm sieve.

    5. The remaining requirements of the specifications shall be as stipulated in the standard specification for the respective product.
